I definitely appreciate this kind of post!

My 4-year-old has sunk a ton of his screen time into Kirby's Dream Buffet on the Switch (the Kirby racing game), and it has been a great, gentle way for him to slowly get a handle on video game controls, especially with the zero-pressure practice area. I'm hoping to get him to try a platformer at some point - most of the options I've tried are either too unforgiving or too chaotic.

I'm currently eyeing Smushi Come Home and Mail Time (both... oddly aesthetically similar) as ones I might want to take for a test drive.

Agree with the others, that this kind of post is an awesome resource.

My boys (6 and 7) have co-opted our house's two iPads for themselves. They usually play Minecraft Pocket on there, but have started branching out to things like Alba, Monument Valley and The Last Campfire. They recently found Hot Wheels Unlimited which has a Mario Kart Tour-esque monthly subscription, of which I am not a fan, even though they pay for it with their allowance.

This is all to say, I appreciate the addition of iOS, Android and Apple Arcade titles, and will be trying to get them hooked on Stardew Valley. Wish me luck.

Love this feature. I know you haven’t played a lot of these, but it would be great to have some kind of sliding scale on age and difficulty. knowing what my almost four year old could figure out is a challenge for me. Often Mario Kart with all assists works ok.

Great idea. Maybe I can try and reach out to devs/pubs in advance.

I would 100% pay for catalogue/spreadsheet of this built up over time. My 4yr old has only really "played" Rocket League but keeps asking me for a new game and I keep putting it off due to lack of ideas.

I tried the Cocomelon game when my child was younger, but they really didn't want to play that. They wanted to play the new Kirby, Mario, or Mario Kart games.
